Regulations – Burial Rights

The Diocese of Tucson Catholic Cemeteries adheres to the following regarding the burial right to all graves, niches, mausoleum crypts and other merchandise intended for interment of human remains.

Burial Right for in ground interments: Maximum number of interments is as follows-

24”x24” or smaller Cremation Garden plot – one urn.

32”x32” Cremation Garden plot – two urns.

Infant/Stillborn Grave – one casket or urn.

Standard Single Depth Grave – one casket and one urn.

Standard Double Depth Grave – two caskets and two urns.

Standard Single Lawn/Garden Crypt – one casket and one urn where ground cover permits.

Standard Double Lawn/Garden Crypt – two caskets and two urns where ground cover permits. * Lawn/Garden Crypts must be checked to see if ground cover is deep enough to permit for interment of a cremation vault or other urn outer container.
